Waffles on Some Days

Well, perhaps I should change my title to “Waffles on Some Days.” As always, my lack of content here does not reflect my productivity. I have been working through Donald Maass’s, Writing the Breakout Novel Workbook, with my Mesa manuscript. I thought I finished writing my novel last year: silly me! I have also been reading (and rereading) a plethora of fiction books in addition to devouring short stories. Of course, I have been delving into my continuing fascination with folklore and just finished Italo Calvino’s Italian Folktales that I picked up last year in a Naples, Italy bookshop! Furthermore, I love my busy teaching schedule as a private tutor with amazing students.

Finally, I take long walks with my dogs for protection but also to mitigate the likelihood of my wandering too far while mentally focused with story plots; I have gotten turned around when alone, but that is another story. I look forward to writing tonight with my weekly group, Fiction Focused Writers!
